시인이라고 얘기할 수 밖에요 - Duncan by Paul Simon

제가 전에 인용했던 "Still crazy after all these years"라는 album 도 훌륭하고 그 title 곡도 자주 떠오르지만, 두 사람이 헤어지고 나서 아마도 첫번째로 나왔던 album에 들어있는 아주 좋은 곡이 있습니다. 많은 분들이 들어보셨을텐데요, Lincoln Duncan이라는 사람에 대해서 쓴 짧은 소설과도 같은 곡이죠.

음악을 듣다 보면 El Condor Pasa (If I could)에서 나왔던 남미 음악 하는 양반들이 같이 나오죠. Paul Simon은 요즘에는 Africa 음악하는 사람처럼 보이기도 하는데요, 이 당시에는 Andean Music이라는 Andes산맥의 원주민들이 연주하고 노래하는 음악에 영향을 많이 받았었나 봅니다.
