"Hey Jude"에서 Jude가 바로 이 아저씨잖아요? 아빠가 엄마랑 헤어지면서 떠나는 와중에도 'don't make it bad'라니 폴 매카트니 형님도 좀 뜬금없죠? 어딘가 차 타고 가다가 라디오에서 한 번 들었는데 눈물을 '짠 물'이라고 표현한 것도 상당히 동양적이지 않나 하고 저 혼자 생각했었고요. 목소리는 정말 아버지를 생각하지 않을 수 없게 하더라고요. 이 아저씨도 이제 중년 정도로 보이네요.

이 노래는 캐롤로 쳐 주실까요? - Boys of Melody by the Hidden Cameras

이번에는 마음이 좀 편하네요. 그래도 크리스마스인데 좀더 아름답고 사랑스러운 노래에 대해 얘기해야지 하나 하는 마음이 저 밑에 있어서요. "Shortbus"라는 영화가 있었죠? 화면에서 전개되는 것이 좀 편한 게 아니라서 음악이 좋았던 것은 기억을 못 했는데요, 사운드트랙 듣고는 깜짝 놀랐습니다. 제가 아주 즐겨 듣는 음반이 되었습니다. 영화의 어떤 장면에서 나오든가 하는 점도 별로 궁금해지지 않고 그저 음악들이 다 좀 귀엽고 사랑스럽다고 생각합니다. 그 영화 만든 감독이 최근에 다시 뭘 만들었나 보더라고요. 그 영화는 찾아 보려고 생각 중입니다. 물론 음악에 대해 기대하면서요.

Christmas 캐롤을 들어야겠지만요 - A thousand years by Azure Ray

아침부터 눈이 온 흔적을 볼 수 있었고 오늘 밤에도 눈이 올 모양입니다. White Christmas가 되겠죠?

산타할아버지의 존재라든가 선물 주고 받는 것이라든가 제가 신경 안 쓰다 보니 다른 분들도 얼마나 열심히 하고 있으신지 느낌이 없습니다. 크리스마스 캐롤이랑은 전혀 관계 없는 곡이지만 저는 괜히 혼자 이런 노래를 들으면서 오늘밤을 맞아 보려고요.

크리스마스의 여러 가지 의미가 있겠지만 '희망'을 가진다는 면도 있지 않을까요? 죄송하게도 노래도 희망적이라든가 하는 거 아니지만 그저 한 번 들어보시라고 권해 드리고 싶습니다. 적어도 고요한 밤 분위기는 도울 수 있지 않을까 하고요.
