벌써 잊어 버리신 건 아니죠? - Have you forgotten by Red House Painters

음악을 달고 다닌다는 말을 할 수 있을 정도로 깨어 있는 동안은 항상 음악을 듣는 편입니다. 오늘 아침에 비가 많이 오는 덕분에 여유 있게 보내고 있는데요. 느지막한 아침 식사를 하면서 나른한 이 노래를 들었습니다. 전에 제가 여기서 얘기 했던 영화, Vanilla Sky에도 들어갔던 노래입니다. 오늘 분위기와 여러 가지로 맞는 노래라고 생각합니다.

제가 소개하는 링크가 제 PC에서는 항상 중간에 멈추거나 음질이 별로여서 참 안타깝게 느낀 적이 많은데요. 이 곡은 위에서 아주 잘 나오네요.

album 제목이 'songs for a blue guitar' 입니다. 제게는 멋있게 들리네요. Wes Anderson과 Cameron Crowe, 이 두 영화 감독은 제가 아주 좋아하는 감독들입니다. 영화도 좋은 것들이 많았지만 영화에 나오는 음악 고르는 데 있어서 천재적이라고 생각합니다. 사운드트랙 사시면 후회하시지 않을 겁니다. 어디서 그렇게 좋은 음악들을 찾아내는지 기가 막힙니다. 오늘은 'Elizabeth Town'이라는 영화도 생각납니다. 영화는 그저 그랬다고 생각하는데요. 아주 잘 나가는 남녀 배우가 주인공이였지만 상업적인 성공은 거두지 못 한 것으로 기억하고 있습니다. 물론 들어간 음악이 아주 좋습니다. 음악평론가이던 Cameron이 감독한 작품이죠.

위의 video를 보면 '미국 어디까지 가봤니?' 하는 광고가 생각이 나는데요. 참 맘에 드는 광고였고, 볼 때 마다 미국가고 싶은 생각이 나게 만들더군요. 저만의 편견이지만 '공간감'이라고나 할까요? 넓은 땅이 항상 부럽습니다.
